Metabolic Support

What "metabolic support" means in research

In laboratory research, metabolic support refers to the study of how the body regulates energy: how it takes up and uses glucose, stores and burns fat, and signals hunger and fullness. Researchers examine pathways such as:

  • incretin and glucagon receptor signalling
  • insulin sensitivity and glucose regulation
  • mitochondrial energy production
  • growth hormone and metabolic hormone signalling

The peptides below have been examined in research for their roles in these pathways.

Peptides studied in metabolic research

  • Retatrutide 20mg: a synthetic triple agonist peptide acting at GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors. Research has examined its effects on energy balance, glucose regulation and body-weight pathways in preclinical and clinical research settings.
  • MOTS-c 10mg: a peptide encoded in mitochondrial DNA. It has been studied in cell and animal models for its role in metabolic regulation, insulin sensitivity pathways and mitochondrial function.
  • Ipamorelin 10mg: a synthetic, selective ghrelin-receptor agonist. Research has examined its effects on growth hormone release and downstream metabolic signalling in animal models.
